Scene : DC's Recent Residential Project on Chicago's Northshore

The workroom recently completed a project for a lovely couple who were looking to update a few rooms in their beautiful historic home in Fort Sheridan.  Below are the gorgeous results with some before & after shots for comparison. ENJOY!

[[{"type":"media","view_mode":"media_large","fid":"1769","attributes":{"class":"media-image aligncenter size-large wp-image-2430","typeof":"foaf:Image","style":"","width":"574","height":"1024","alt":"SONY DSC"}}]]After DC

[[{"type":"media","view_mode":"media_large","fid":"1770","attributes":{"class":"media-image aligncenter size-large wp-image-2431","typeof":"foaf:Image","style":"","width":"640","height":"425","alt":"DSC00235"}}]]During the design process- We loved the tone on tone damask currently on the Baker sofa, it's a classic and with all the other traditional elements in the room, such as the owners beautiful collection of antiques we didn't want to change the style immensely, so we decided to go with an updated version of the damask with a Candice Olson for Kravet pattern.

[[{"type":"media","view_mode":"media_large","fid":"1771","attributes":{"class":"media-image aligncenter size-large wp-image-2432","typeof":"foaf:Image","style":"","width":"640","height":"358","alt":"SONY DSC"}}]]The grey pillows are upholstered in a faux mohair from Maxwell fabric and the little red gem we used real mohair from Stroheim Fabrics Wouldn't a throw in that same fabric look divine!?

[[{"type":"media","view_mode":"media_large","fid":"1772","attributes":{"class":"media-image aligncenter size-large wp-image-2433","typeof":"foaf:Image","style":"","width":"640","height":"358","alt":"SONY DSC"}}]]

The client's collection of antiques and leggy furniture complement the Candice Olson damask perfectly.

For the face fabric of chairs we used a Candice Olson for Kravet stripe and the faux mohair from Maxwell for the back and side fabric.

[[{"type":"media","view_mode":"media_large","fid":"1774","attributes":{"class":"media-image aligncenter size-large wp-image-2440","typeof":"foaf:Image","style":"","width":"574","height":"1024","alt":"SONY DSC"}}]]I absolutely adore the mix of textures of the mohair fabric and the chair's structure! Doesn't the lighter silver color subtly compliment the grey and blue in their oriental rug?

[[{"type":"media","view_mode":"media_large","fid":"1775","attributes":{"class":"media-image aligncenter size-large wp-image-2441","typeof":"foaf:Image","style":"","width":"640","height":"358","alt":"SONY DSC"}}]]A view of both the beautiful chairs

We updated the wet bar area with 2 flat roman shades with Thibaut's Luxembourg fabric.
