Take A Reading of Your Space

Stand in the entrance way of the room that you want to read . Draw the shape of the room on a piece of paper. Grid the room into eight equal sections as seen on the Bagua. On the wall that has the main entrance to the room, align the Career or North portion of the Bagua to the center of that wall. Use the Bagua to locate the other earth directions. This will then show you the power spots to any room that hold that earth's energy which represents a goal or aspiration in one's life. The Chinese believe that each direction carries its own type of energy. As seen on the BaGua, the South represents recognition and fame, the South-West represents love and relationships and so on. Simply by enhancing these areas with the correct earth element; color, shape, or design, one can improve the chances for more prosperity, better health, stronger, more loving relationships, career success, more productive, creative work environments and a life filled with peace and harmony.

Understanding the earth elements and how they interact with each other is important to enhancing the power spots. Each earth element has a color or design associated with it along with a goal or aspiration. Each element has a supporting or activating cycle. Fire creates earth, earth produces metal, metal becomes water, water nourishes wood and wood feeds fire. This is important to know so that one may activate an earth's element by adding the supporting element or calm too much of an element by adding a calming element to that power spot. Earth calms fire, fire calms wood, wood calms water, water calms metal, and metal calms earth. Use one of these elements to slow too much energy of any one element on a power spot.
